It was the year 2002, I was 8 years old and little did I know I was about to shape my future career.
I was in year 4 and given a project to grow cress (it was more exciting at the time ok?) we had to keep a daily diary on the progress. Being the keen bean that I am I decided to use my Polaroid camera Santa kindly gave me to capture the magical blooming of my cress.
Every morning I would wake up, grab my camera and get that shot - I loved it! I did this every day for 3 weeks, until the big finale - the taste test. This is where I took my final shot of my beautiful cress sandwich. What a delicious/proud moment that was.
My Dad and I then made a booklet with a day by day photo and description, pure dedication. The next day when I handed in my project my teacher she was so impressed she took it to the head teacher. By complete surprise the following morning I was standing in front of the whole school's assembly showing my cress diary.
I was so chuffed with myself I continued to document my life this way. I took Polaroids capturing my favourite moments putting them into little flick books. From birthdays to cute sleepy poses of my childhood pets, you name it I had a Polaroid of it.

Fast forward to now, where I do this for my job - how lucky am I!
I go to events telling their individual stories with my photography or sometimes I get to shoot beautiful food for restaurants. Every project I get to be a part of blows me away, I love that I am able to share my photos with so many different people.
We are our experiences.
